How early adoption of Turtl equipped the teams at both brands to handle a rapidly changing world and property market in 2020
When Davide first adopted Turtl for the marketing team in the UK, he could never have guessed how important that move would become several years later during national lockdowns. As online communications became the last viable channel for businesses, BNP Paribas Real Estate UK and Strutt & Parker's Turtl Docs stood out in an oversaturated pool of PDF content and standard web pages.
"A big incentive for us to switch to Turtl was the fact that some of the biggest brands in the world, including one of our competitors, had become early adopters of the software," Davide tells us. "I didn't want our audiences to compare our static content with the interactive content used by the leading brands and view us as less innovative. With the events of the past year and how important digital content has become, that switch gave us a head start to not only stand out in terms of reading experience, but also in our ability to create timely content as the property market underwent rapid changes."
While Turtl's editor makes content creation possible for teams outwith marketing at BNP Paribas Real Estate UK and Strutt & Parker, it's also designed to negate any risk associated with that in terms of brand protection.
"Any new users we add to our license can pretty much hit the ground running," explains Davide. "They need minimal training as it's all very intuitive, and our brand guidelines are built into the software, so whether it's my team at BNP Paribas Real Estate UK or at Strutt & Parker, it's literally impossible for the content creators to choose the wrong font or color scheme. This keeps everything secure and allows wider teams like HR more bandwidth to create their own content with little to no oversight."
Previous negative experiences with MarTech vendors had made Davide cautious in his search for a digital content platform.
"It's really common for vendors to lock you in on a contract and then grow increasingly hard to reach," says Davide. "That can effectively make new technologies redundant as we aren't able to make the most of them. It's not at all like that with Turtl. Whenever we have even the slightest issue, someone from the customer success team is on hand right away. It's a relationship we've really come to value over the years."
