Configuring your integration and embedding forms
Turtl integrates with CRM systems to identify known readers and show individualized analytics. Each integration solution is bespoke, and we work closely with you to set up a personalized solution.
We need to identify the reader. This comes from either a personalized URL, a form being filled out, or a cookie on a reader's computer.
Turtl stores a pseudonymized ID (a long string of numbers and letters) associated with that reader.
The personal information is imported into the CRM along with the reader's ID.
When you want to access your known readers in Doc analytics, Turtl asks the CRM for the name and email associated with that ID and displays it in Turtl (we store this data for faster loading).
Check out support.turtl.co for information on our current integrations and how to get them set up.
In general, setting up an integration requires a user name, password, or API key and this will give Turtl access to the name and email of readers inside your CRM.
Embedding forms allows you to capture sign-ups directly into your CRM. Doing so replaces the default Turtl capture form with your custom CRM form. The set-up is simple, and your CSM can guide you through the process.
Forms work best when there is little to no styling when created. This helps as we won't have to remove styling and then add it again.
The code is so that we can make sure the form is styled correctly and to be able to detect when the form has been submitted. Since adding a custom form uses iframes, Turtl has no access to any data submitted through the form, and the information is passed directly to the designated CRM.
