What will you
About the role and the team you'll be joining
You'll be the second junior content writer to join the team and will report to Dani, the team's content strategist.
The aim is to write content for humans - something that is both informative and entertaining to read - unlike the majority of B2B content out there!
Your role will be split into two main parts:
- Writing blog posts that target priority keyword opportunities for SEO
- Drafting event bios, case studies, guides and other marketing and sales materials
- Subediting content and communications
- Copywriting for campaigns
- Researching the wider market to find trends and angles for our content
- Researching successful content marketing programmes implemented by similar businesses
- Interviewing customers, colleagues, partners and external thought leaders to research and inform a variety of content.
You'll also be expected to contribute ideas and take part in planning new activities across the marketing team.
Dani, Turtl's content strategist
Fellow content writer, Chris
The marketing team has grown from a team of one to a team of seven in as little as ten months, with four roles currently in the process of being filled (including this one).
The team culture is one of openness, enthusiasm, humour and collaboration. We have ambitious targets for 2020, and we're using 2019 to experiment and test out ideas to find out what does and doesn't resonate with our audience. This includes our campaign to kill the pdf!
The team is an international one, with backgrounds in South Africa, Spain, Scotland, Ireland, and Denmark, as well as London. We're keen to diversify our pool of brains, so encourage everyone and anyone to apply!
The (ever-growing) marketing team!
See whether we tick your boxes
The digital world is a noisy place where we all produce and consume content, all the time. It has never been easier for a business to send a message, but never harder to make it memorable.
Most content marketing tools provide a bigger megaphone. They help businesses fight noise with more noise. At Turtl, we have a different belief. We prefer thoughtful communication, rather than loud. Few lasting messages, rather than many transient ones.
We build authoring tools that let our customers create beautiful, premium content. Publishing tools that prevent mistakes that would hurt their reach. And crucially, we help our customers understand the experience of each reader so they can create more relevant and meaningful content over time.
Turtl’s mission is to be a different kind of medium. One that invites readers to slow down and immerse themselves. One that allows them to disconnect from the endless stream of information and enjoy the experience of reading online.
