We chat to **Katy Smith**, the newest addition to our **Customer Success team**
I’m a Customer Success Manager at Turtl so my role is all about helping our customers to derive value from the product. Every day is different, it might involve objective planning, product training, supporting a content campaign, reviewing analytics, or working with a design team to perfect their brand within Turtl. It’s very varied which keeps it interesting.
Really well despite not having met any of my colleagues! It’s a strange situation to join a company while everyone’s working online, but I’ve had a lot of support from my team and the wider company and it’s worked surprisingly well. I’ve also been lucky enough to start working with some lovely customers who are really excited about Turtl; that’s made all the difference in the first few weeks.
I think it would have to be the entire Harry Potter series, preferably in audiobook format so I can be soothed by Stephen Fry’s voice while panicking about how to get off the island. They’re my childhood favorites and I still read them to this day, there’s always an extra detail I’ve not noticed before. Aside from Harry Potter, I recently read ‘A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World’ which I loved, I’d bring that along too for the inspiration.
I initially started doing yoga at University because I needed to do some exercise and couldn’t face dragging myself out for a run. I didn’t dread yoga in the same way so it stuck pretty quickly. Since then, it’s become an amazing tool for my mind as well as a way to exercise. Sometimes it’s the only time in my day when I focus on my breathing and feel present; it’s a great antidote to a busy 9-5 when you’re pulled in different directions. I also loved learning about the history of yoga and its philosophies. If you’re interested, give Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras a read.
I am a lover of all animals, but it’s got to be cats. Their personalities are hilarious and you have to work a little bit harder to get on their good side.
I went to northern Italy last year and fell in love with a little town called Neive. It’s in the middle of the rolling hills and vineyards and is just stunning. Unsurprisingly the wine and food are amazing, and the people are so friendly. It’s not even been two years and I can’t wait to go back.
