Discover different layouts and learn how to recreate them
We've had lots of questions from you, our users, asking how to make the most out of pinning and how you can create more complex layouts.
The next pages in this chapter will give you examples of different layouts and the steps to re-create them yourselves. Note: this chapter is optimised for desktop.

Step 1 - Use a five column layout.
Step 2 - Format your heading to the largest style and place it in a plain feature box. Pin the feature box and expand it over four columns.
Step 3 - Pin your image and expand it across three columns.
Step 4 - Make sure the feature box with your heading is below the image in the editor so that it is layered on top in your Story.
Step 5 - Drag the heading feature box into position on the right hand side of the page.
Step 6 - If the coloured feature box drops onto the next page, use the pinning settings to pin it to the correct page.
Step 7 - Drag the feature box to the bottom corner of the image and expand it across two columns.
Example #2
Donec id elit non mi porta gravida at eget metus. Morbi leo risus, porta ac consectetur ac, vestibulum at eros. Donec id elit non mi porta gravida at eget metus. Maecenas faucibus mollis interdum. Aenean eu leo quam. Pellentesque ornare sem lacinia quam venenatis vestibulum. Nulla vitae elit libero, a pharetra augue.
Step 2 - Pin your image and expand it across five columns, filling around half the page, depending on your content and amount of text.
Step 3 - If your poll and quote are pushed onto the next page use the pinning settings to pin both widgets and choose the correct page number.
Step 4 - Drag the quote to sit on the image and expand it over two columns . If it is hidden behind the image, drag the image in the editor so that it is above the quote and the poll. This will ensure that they are layered over the image rather than sitting behind it.
Step 5 - Drag the poll to sit partially over the image, breaking up your text and layout.
Example #3
Step 2 - Place your large heading in a plain feature box, pin it and expand it over four columns.
Step 3 - Place your medium subheading in a plain feature box, pin it and expand it over two columns, placing it just below the heading.
Step 4 - Pin all of the widgets and then expand your image to cover the whole page.
Step 5 - If your widgets are hidden behind the image drag your image to sit above all of the other widgets in the editor so that they are layered over it.
Step 6 - Drag your feature boxes and quotes into position on the page. You can expand them across multiple columns and customise your layout depending on the amount of statistics you use.
