Put faces to names

In large organizations, especially ones spread across countries and continents, most people will not know each other. Generate anticipation

Don't underestimate how much people enjoy looking at themselves. If you set a precedent that your internal comms feature lots of staff imagery, people will want to know if they've been featured that month. Check your comms look great on every device

No device left behind

Unlike the PDF, Turtl documents automatically adjust to best suit the device it's opened on. To improve the experience for your coworkers on the move, make sure you take a look at the mobile preview before publishing to make sure your comms are in the right order and that chapter images don't need re-cropping - which you can do easily in the editor.

Hide things from mobile view

There might be some cases where you don't want the mobile and desktop versions of your comms to have exactly the same content for design purposes. You can hide certain images and features from the mobile view in their settings. When you're in the editor, the left-hand side (where you input text) is how things will appear in mobile view and the right side is a preview of desktop view where you can drag and drop to get the layout you're looking for.

Use Turtl analytics to improve your comms

Find areas of interest

Your analytics dashboard shows you how your internal comms performed across each individual section. This lets you see which topics or messages get through to your audience. You should allow this to guide you the next time you create something in Turtl. Find ways to flesh out the topics of interest and make tweaks to the sections which didn't perform well.

See who's not engaged

Since you'll have the contact information of all of your readers, you'll be able to take advantage of Turtl's reader tracker. This shows you how (and if) an individual reader engaged with your internal comms. Is their team or region not getting enough coverage to interest them? Make adjustments for the next issue and measure their response.

Regularly update information

Once you've published and sent out your internal comms, that's only the beginning. As Turtl is cloud-based, it can be updated after publishing and the new version will replace the old one completely, whenever anyway next opens the document. This means you should be updating information as it changes in real-time so that your comms and handbooks are always accurate.

Make tweaks to evergreen comms

This could be using Turtl's analytics to see which chapters are being skipped and taking a new approach, or just updating imagery to be more reflective of current employees.
