GiveSmart was faced with a common problem. A lack of resources and a corporate shared services model was causing lengthy turnaround times and a design bottleneck.
Maureen Blandford, Vice President of Marketing, and her team were faced with two options. Neither of which looked likely to solve the design bottleneck and meet the team's need for fast design resources.
1. Outsourcing
Outsourcing threatened to be as expensive and time-consuming as sourcing design materials in-house. GiveSmart needed a service that would create mobile-optimized content which looked polished, on a tight budget, and as quickly as possible. Due to the fast-paced nature of the work, long-term outsourcing seemed infeasible.
2. Delays and painful installations
Urgent turnarounds needed an urgent solution. However, waiting for software to be implemented and taking on teething problems with automated support was likely to cause more delays.
Then GiveSmart found Turtl. The support team was happy to help, not only through installation, but with any queries as the team began publishing their own content.

Understanding audiences
One of GiveSmart's successful Turtl Docs is the 12-month signature event masterplan. Using Turtl, the team was able to see the analytics for each section in the Doc.
Readers who spent the most time on the "3 months out of an event" page could, therefore, be targeted with more content specific to charities 3 months out of an event.
A hard-gate detailed capturing form on the front of the content helped GiveSmart gather information about who was interested in their masterplan and target their content accordingly.

GiveSmart's marketing team needed to publish a research study under tight time constraints. The task: to turn a data-heavy, unwieldy Word Doc into a polished, beautiful published piece of content as quickly as possible.
Inflexibility before Turtl
Short on resources, the marketing team finished converting the document into a PDF. Once it had been converted, however, the team realized that branding needed to be added to each page and the copy needed some fine-tuning. Without Turtl, it was back to the drawing board to create, save, and republish the whole piece, costing time and valuable resources.
